What do I need to get started?
- A powerful computer with a VR ready graphic card.
- Pixyz plugin is strongly recommended to be able to import your CAD models.
- Compatible Unity version installed on your computer.

Do I need a CAD software (Catia, Solidworks, Siemens NX…) installed?
No CAD software is needed to use INTERACT. INTERACT works as a plugin for Unity. You will need Pixyz plugin or equivalent to import your CAD models.
What are the optional features?
Pixyz is an optional feature that allows you to import native CAD structure with all hierarchy, part names, lines and metadata. It runs under another license and you will need it to access all INTERACT’s features.
What VR hardware does INTERACT support?
- HTC VIVE Pro and VIVE Focus
- OCULUS Rift (S)
- Meta Quest 1, 2 & 3 using Quest link.
- Varjo XR-3
- Windows Mixed Reality Headsets
- CAVE, Powerwalls
- Tracking devices (Vive Trackers, Leap Motion, ART, Optitrack)

- Haptic devices (Manus VR gloves, Haption)
INTERACT supports all HMDs compatible with OpenXR.
What is the recommended hardware and software configuration?
You need to have a VR Ready computer. The more powerful it is, the more objects you will be able to load in the same scene.
Minimum configuration: GTX 1070, Core i7, 16Go RAM
We only support Windows 10.
Is INTERACT compatible with CAVEs or Powerwalls systems?
Yes, INTERACT is compatible with CAVEs and Powerwalls. We manage following tracking systems:
- ART
- Optitrack
Do I need a VR system to benefit from INTERACT?
Some functionalities are only available in VR, but you can use INTERACT on Desktop if needed.
Does XDE physics engine support collisions with complex parts?
Yes, XDE handles collisions with meshes whether it is concave or convex. You can activate collision for the most complex mesh geometries. The precision of the collision detection strongly depends on the tessellation quality.
